Who we are

This policy covers traveljin.com, run by Traveljin ("we", "us"). If you have any question about your information, email hello@traveljin.com.

Information we collect

You can read and search Traveljin without creating an account or telling us who you are.

• Technical information: like every website, our hosting provider receives your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, so it can deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
• Usage statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies and does not build a profile of you.
• What you send us: if you email us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
• What you type into the search box (places and dates) is used to build the search you asked for and send you to the partner's results. We don't store it.

Cookies and similar technology

Traveljin itself does not use advertising cookies. Our affiliate network runs a script on our pages that sets a session cookie (am_user_session) and may store small values in your browser, so that partners can recognise visits that came from us and credit us when you book.

When you follow a link to a partner, that partner may set its own cookies, which usually last from 7 to 30 days. Our flight results page at flights.traveljin.com is provided by our affiliate network and shows its own cookie notice.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, but we may not be credited for bookings you make.

Who we share information with

We don't sell your personal information or share it for others' advertising. We only use service providers who need it to run the site:

• Cloudflare, which hosts the site, protects it and provides our visit statistics.
• Our affiliate network and its travel partners, when you use our search or follow a partner link.
• Unsplash, whose servers deliver the photos on our pages and therefore receive your IP address.
• Zoho, which provides our email inbox.

Bookings with partners

We don't take bookings or payments. When you book a flight, tour or anything else through a partner, you give your details to that company, and its own privacy policy applies. Please read it before you book.

How long we keep information

We keep emails for as long as we need them to deal with your question and then delete them, normally within two years. Visit statistics are kept in aggregate form, which doesn't identify you.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including in the UK, the European Union, California and Australia, you may have the right to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. Email hello@traveljin.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

Children

Traveljin is meant for adults planning trips. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use information, for example by adding a newsletter, we will update this page and the date below before the change takes effect.
