The year 2020 may have adversely affected hospitality and tourism. However, plans of business have been in process for many giants. Be it hotels, cruises, or trains. This is especially true with the kind of newer services being introduced to attract more people to step out of their houses.
Florida and Orlando will have their own way to reach Walt Disney. Also, this would make their lives easy as there is no need to drive!
The relatively young rail system has been a hit with the people of Miami. The passengers since 2018, have used this service extensively. Moreover, it is so commendable that it is the privately run inter-city route. Yet, it has become a regular choice of people. Brightline covers Miami, West Palm Beach, and Florida.
The latest feather in the cap for Brightline is their agreement with Disney. As per this agreement, there will be a top-notch station built at Disney Springs.
The intended station location Disney Springs is a great location for tourists of Walt Disney. This area has an outdoor dining area, shopping options, and entertainment center all at the Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista.
The opening at Disney Springs can give ease to tourists. They will get the closest access point to Disney’s four theme parks, two water parks as well as more than two dozen hotels. The annual decline in travel, tourism has been a setback for all businesses. Disney as well has suffered a lot. However, by the time this project will be inaugurated it is expected that things will be better.
Brightline’s president, Patrick Goddard said, “Brightline will offer a car-free connection to the millions of visitors from around the state and the world who plan to make Walt Disney World Resort part of their vacation plans.”
However, this great opportunity also comes with a variety of challenges.
Firstly, the Hunters Creek community has concerns. This concern stems from the query that which corridor will be used by Brightline?
Presently they are worried whether the rail route would use the right of way of State Road 528 or the Beachline Expressway. There are concerns over the rail to follow State Road 417 through the Hunters Creek community,
The VP of Infrastructure Development of Brightline was asked to comment on this issue. He said, “Over the next two years we have to formulate this plan. Then it’s a three-year construction project. That decision pretty much needs to be made now.”
The trips will of course be great for time value. An estimated time of trip from Brightline Miami station to Disney Springs would take about 3 hours and 15 minutes. This is less than the period in a car. Additionally, fliers from Orlando International Airport can be at Disney Springs in about 15 to 20 minutes.
Thus in a period of two to three years, we see a positive change to this Disney Resort.
