Disney California Adventure Park will place visitors in the center of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Imagineer’s are excited to share with visitors this summer what they’ve imagined for this land but have offered media a sneak peek of what adventure is awaited.
“It’s going to be a place where visitors can experience the story,” said Dave Bushore, vice president, franchise creative and marketing.
“There is a lot of responsibility to this iconography,” said Scot Drake, portfolio creative executive, Walt Disney Imagineering.
“This place is about living your superhero fantasies, said Brent Strong, executive creative director, Walt Disney Imagineering. “You will be able to become a superhero.”
When Avengers Campus opens this summer, Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure will definitely be the main attraction that will bring theme park-goers to a brand new technical phenomenon that practically turns them into superheroes.
Visitors meet with the Worldwide Technology Brigade or WEB, a workshop made up of young inventors such as Peter Parker who aim to create innovative technological technology intended to inspire a new generation of superheroes.
The Spider-Bots, autonomous sidekicks who can create whatever a Super Hero may like, are amongst their inventions.
In addition to eating at the Pym Test Kitchen, visitors will also pick up snacks at the Shawarma Palace Cart and Terran Snacks, and Pym Tasting Lab has a range of special cocktails to sell.
WEB Suppliers have everything they need for all superheroes who need to pick up materials for their next mission, including the handy Spider-Bots, the robot sidekick for any hero. The eight-legged bots are operated by remote control and have a range of available buyable “upgrades.”
The Campus Supply Pod is fitted with all the logo equipment that visitors require, including logo clothing, fleece hoodies, and tees, headwear, snacks, etc.
